The service
Is this the right service?
A Tree Protection Specification (TPS) and Tree Protection Plan (TPP) set out how retained trees will be protected. The specification explains site controls and responsibilities; the plan shows the protection arrangement. Prepare them before site setup so fencing, access, storage and excavation can be coordinated.
When it can help
- Council or your permit requires a tree protection plan.
- Retained trees need protection during construction.
- Your builder needs clear controls for work near trees.

The assessment
How it works
Review requirements
We check the arborist report, plans and permit conditions to identify retained trees and protection obligations.
Plan site controls
We set out appropriate fencing, signage, access, storage and excavation measures for the works.
Define responsibilities
The plan identifies when controls must be in place and where arborist inspections or supervision are required.
Your deliverables
What your report includes

- Fencing, access and site-management controls
- Work restrictions and supervision checkpoints
- Responsibilities, timing and limitations
Scope and limitations
Design or site-setup changes may require a revised plan. Site visits, ongoing monitoring and certification are only included if specifically agreed.
